This is a last call reminder for speakers to submit abstracts for the Biochemical Society Bioenergetics Christmas meeting 2016.
This year the keynote lecture is being given by Judy Hirst, FRSC, Deputy Director of the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit, and Fellow of Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge. Judy is at the cornerstone of Mitochondrial Complex I research, understanding the processes and structures involved in the transfer of energy from redox reactions via long-range electron, and proton transfer.
The meeting will be opened at 11:30 with Judy’s overview lecture. Following lunch, we will have approximately ten 15 minute presentations, to be given by students and postdocs. The meeting provides an excellent opportunity for young researchers to present their work to an expert audience in an informal environment, bringing to the fore the talented and varied research being conducted in the UK.
