New core equipment and funding to the CfMR by the Duchen lab

The success of the Duchen lab in obtaining funding both for the equipment and personnel working closely with the CfMR is summarised on the Divisional News blog.

The new equipment will help with setting up detailed analyses of cellular respiratory rates with a Seahorse 96FX machine, while the new all-round fluorescent/luminescent Clariostar with controlled O2 and CO2 tensions will allow the use of a wide range of metabolic and Ca2+ signalling chemical and recombinant probes to explore metabolic phenotypes. A further new addition is the Cubian HT270 whihc will allow us to measure extracellular fluxes of a wide range of nutrients and ions. The description of the new equipment is on the core facility page.
